SUPERVISOR BRANCH OPERATIONS , KCB BANK

The position
Reporting to the Branch Operations Manager, the job holder will be responsible for coordination and assisting in the supervision of back office operations at the Branch.
Key Responsibilities
  1.  Co-custodian of cash and ATMs
  2.  Checking of cash vouchers, transfer vouchers and transaction journal.
  3.  Authorisation of cash and transfer transactions within approval limits.
  4.  Coordinate the scheduling and activities of the CIT vehicle
  5.  Planning and administration of leave for the Branch.
  6.  Administration of safe custody items.
  7.  Maintenance of branch assets and update of assets inventory.
  8.  Ensure adherence to policies, processes, procedures as relates to cash and compliance with AML/KYC guidelines.
The person
For the above position the successful applicant should have;
  1.  A bachelor degree from a recognized University. Possession of a post graduate degree or professional qualification will be an added advantage
  2.  At least 2 years’ experience in Cash or Banking Operations

DOCUMENTATION MANAGER, RETAIL , KCB BANK

The Position
Reporting to the Legal Manager, Retail the role holder will manage issuance and processing of offer letters upon receipt of duly approved credit papers observing agreed timelines and high standards of accuracy and within applicable law, bank policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
·        Issuance and processing of Banking Facility Letters upon receipt of duly approved Credit approval, observing turn-around time and high standards of accuracy.
·        Forward Letters of Offer to Branches and follow up acceptance of Retail Letters of Offer in liaison with branches/business units.
·        Advising business and credit on legal personalities, facilities and securities structuring to ensure relevant and adequate documentation during the facility pre - approval stage.
·        Advising the branches/credit on new legal regulations that affect pre –approval requirements and amending the Letter of offer to comply with the regulations and ensuring the bank’s interest is protected.
·        Ensure MIS maintenance with respect to offer letters, TAT and exceptions for the purpose of reporting to business and decision making by stakeholders
·        Manage retail clerks in preparation of offer Letter, MIS management, filing, receipt, recording and dispatch of retail securities and correspondences and managing the support desk.
·        Issue instructions to and follow up Banks external lawyers in the preparation of security documents on behalf of the Bank while protecting the Bank’s interest.
·        Liaising with external legal counsel and other service providers on security documentation process and ensuring that security documentation and other conditions of sanction have been perfected/ completed prior to authorizing the drawdown of facilities (unless there is a waiver in place).
·        Issue Compliance Certificate jointly with the Legal Manager /Head of SDC within agreed TAT on receipt of the last outstanding security document
·        Verify perfected security documents are in line with the regulatory framework prior to handing over the securities for safe custody.
Qualifications and Requirements

·        A Bachelor’s Degree in Law
·        Postgraduate Diploma in Law
·        3 Years’ post admission experience in Legal Documentation.
·        Experience in Credit and Security Documentation.

The Position
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position will be responsible for managing quality of service delivery & compliance through adherence to policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  1.  To offer customer satisfaction through operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  2.  To ensure adequate resourcing of all positions in the back office operations of the branch.
  3.  Ensure proper cash management within the branch and maintain sufficient cash reserves for daily transactions.
  4.  Ensure Business continuity and optimal work tools and equipment.
  5.  Ensure adherence to policies, processes, procedures as per documented operating standards (SOP’s) including compliance with AML/KYC guidelines.
  6.  Ensure branch risk registers & Key Risk Indicators are up to date; and event/loss incidents reports are maintained.
  7.  Ensure effective resolution of Audit issues.
  8.  Ensure adequate security of Bank’s assets, premises and staff.
  9.  Ensure morning drill is carried out as required and the security details are in place.
  10.  Ensure reports are printed and checked as required and Suspense accounts proactively monitored.
  11.  Authorisation of transactions as per the set limits.
  12.  Ensure tools and equipment at the branch are maintained in working condition.
The Person

  1.  University Degree preferably in a business related field.

ORACLE DATA BASE ADMINISTRATOR JOB AT KCB BANK

The Position
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Base Administration the role holder will be required to ensure the health and optimization of all oracle data based applications.
Key Responsibilities
·        Manage and support high performance, highly available and mission critical database platforms for the Core Banking and other systems.
·        Review and design database structures to support business requirements including logical and physical database modeling.
·        Install, configure and maintain database instances, creates various database objects, create users with appropriate roles and levels of security.
·        Implement database security policies that are consistent with laid security guidelines.
·        Implement and perform database backup and recovery strategies that meet recovery and availability requirements.
·        Implement best practices and incorporate them in DBA procedures.
·        Manage and support  Enterprise Data warehouse including the development of  reports  from the data warehouse  platform.
Qualifications and Requirements

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER JOB AT KCB BANK

The Position:
Reporting to the Head, Construction & Project Management, Senior Project Manager will be responsible for providing independent, professional and commercial/technical advice on management of KCB owned or Financed projects, Risk assessment and ensuring aims of the projects are met to completion in order to maximize the Bank’s revenue.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and manage performance of project team to achieve project goals
  • Oversee technical analysis of construction projects application by reviewing; - architectural drawings, structural drawings, bills of quantities, feasibility study, specifications, approvals, contract documents, and project financing plan to establish technical viability, adequacy of funds, ensure compliance to Bank, relevant statutory and legislative requirements. 
  • Oversee regular monitoring and tracking of project construction to ensure compliance with master schedule, budget and contract documents in accordance with duties outlined therein.
  • Provide periodical forecasts on project disbursements, project costs and time schedule in relation to project completion
  • Approve project consultants’ interim valuations and payment certificates. 
  • Proactively manage project risks through timely design of mitigating strategies and appropriate control measures
  • Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule projects
  • Analyze progress of projects, value of completed work and provide periodical detailed progress/status report.
  • Oversee project reviews of financial appraisals/reconciliations of work done, outstanding works with a view to establish adequacy of undisbursed loan funds.
  • Liaising with the various institutions within the construction industry with a view to build and update changes in statutory requirements, advise impact on business and qualification of professionals/contractors.
The Person
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
·        A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, Construction Management or related field from a recognized university
·        Professional Qualifications, license and registration with relevant statutory bodies.
·        Master’s Degree in Construction Management is preferable.
·        8 years’ experience in project management, including management and prioritizing of multiple tasks
·        Program management of affordable housing development, financing, feasibility analysis, real estate development.

AML COMPLIANCE MANAGER JOB AT KCB BANK

The Position
Reporting to the Head, Compliance & Ethics, the position will be responsible to ensure central compliance oversight and surveillance on AML/KYC issues in KCB Kenya and support Group Liaison, and will act as the AML liaison contact in Head Office, maintaining continuous dialogue and information to business units on AML/KYC policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
·        Act as anti-money laundering liaison contact in Head Office, maintaining continuous dialogue and information to business units on key issues defined in the AML/KYC policies.
·        Maintain monitoring of sales and new business activities to identify advise on, and resolve any high risk activity.
·        Act as the AML System Business System Administrator, ensuring effective alert management, review and reporting.
·        Track and alert on the status and performance of AML/KYC compliance responsibilities across Bank Units.
·        Support the direction, development, maintenance and distribution of AML/KYC awareness and system training & other compliance policy training across the network units.
·        Carryout initial review of AML alerts and maintain follow-up for conclusion on AML case management, including providing AML system support to users.
·        Maintain AML/KYC compliance risk data collection, analysis and preparing reports with recommendations to mitigate exposures.
·        Maintain continuous engagement with business units and to review and advise on New Products, and Projects, for conformance with AML/KYC and sanctions programs.
·        Through liaison with business unit maintaining and advising status on Reputational risk issues to relevant committee.
·        Monitor and report on the daily management of compliance issues at respective units including significant internal policies as may be advised.
·        Prepare internal & external compliance reports for the central compliance office with regard to external and regulatory compliance issues on AML/KYC.
·        Provide compliance risk liaison at peer levels across specialist and risk functions. (Legal, Audit, Risk, HR, Finance, including Forensic investigations and Insurance)
Qualifications and Requirements
For the above position, the successful applicants should have:
·    A first degree from a recognized university.  An MBA degree will be an added advantage.
·    A relevant Anti-Money Laundering Qualification (ACAMS)
·    At least one risk-relevant professional qualification, IRM, PRMIA, GARP, RCP II, etc.
·    At least 1 year experience in working with the Oracle FCCM AML System (formerly Mantas)
·    5 years of wide ranging bank experience - 3 years management experience, in either operations, or compliance/audit related activities, with demonstrated understanding of the regulatory environment including CBK Prudential Guidelines.
·    Good knowledge of money laundering issues and KYC requirements.
·    A good know-how of bank-wide business functions, administration and supervisory skills.
·    Good management skills including organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
·    Demonstrated high integrity.
