About Your Job:
As the Senior Finance Assistant, you will ensure correct and timely processing of documents in line with QR policies and procedures
Accountabilities :
Understand objectives of the company on revenue targets, cost per unit and time lines
Verify all invoices including ICH invoices as per finance policies and IAPs
Verify/prepare payment analysis for all major expenses including DOC and report any abnormal variances
Control budget for the station and give monthly expectation report through  review of monthly cost Centre and calendarised reports
Identify reasons for variances and control cost by proper follow up
Ensure all sales invoices and debit notes are settled timely. Ensure receivables are timely collected
Verify/prepare bank accounts and balance sheets accounts monthly/yearly reconciliation/schedules
Ensure all payments are made on time with no penalties
Manage the purchasing function at stations
Correct monthly closing as per HQ target dates
Budgetary planning to achieve the desired objectives of the company
Internal and external audit
Costing and evaluation of local projects

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelors’ degree in Finance/accounting or equivalent .You will have minimum experience of 3 years with at least 1 year with an airline. You will have experience in any ERP, proficient with spreadsheets, strong aviation profile in either expenditure or revenue accounting. You should be able to analyze and explain Financial/management accounts to finance and non-finance audiences. Have knowledge on contracts, local’s laws and regulations like VAT, tax, payroll etc.

BACKGROUND ,
Tanzania Mainland has been granted support from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) for the period 2014/15-2016/17 for implementation of the Primary and Adult and Non Formal Education Development Programmes, focusing on Improved Literacy and Numeracy Skills for children aged 5 to 13 years. The support will be provided through the Literacy and Numeracy Education Support (LANES) programme being implemented by three Ministries: Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MOEVT), Prime Minister's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMORALG) and Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children (MCDGC)

In order to ensure strong coordination of activities that are being implemented by different entities (Education Ministries, Institutes and CS0s) the Ministry has established a National Coordination Unit that is currently seeking to recruit the services of Specialists to be based in Dodoma and who will be responsible in ensuring effective implementation of the LANES activities under PMORALG.· I

LANES Deputy Finance Specialist- Based in Dodoma (REF NO: LANES/NCU/03/15)

Position Summary
Reporting to the LANES Deputy National Programme Coordinator, the Finance Officer will be responsible in ensuring that all financial aspects stipulated in the LANES Operational Manual, Agreement and general Government financial guidelines and procedures are adhered to in implementation of LANES activities allocated to PMORALG.
Duties and Responsibilities will include facilitating PMORALG Chief Accountants in ensuring that:
(i) Funds transfers to implementing regions, expenditures and reporting by implementers is done timely;
(ii) All implementers financial transactions are timely and accurately recorded in the financial system and as per agreed financial reporting requirements;
(iii) PMORALG and implementing Regions prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annually ana year-end cut-off schedules with due dates for submission of key tasks and working papers; -
(iv) LANES financial reports are timely consolidated.
(v) Advice on general accounting issues and prqcesses relating to the quarterly and year-end financial reporting.
(vi) Financial procedures that aim to uphold the integrity of the LANES programme are known to all actors.
(vii) All financial audits are supervised; and
(viii) Expertise and knowledge on issues related to finance is provided throughout.
Key Qualifications and Experience
• A Degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Management, or equivalent-A Masters Degree of the same will be an added advantage;
• Demonstrated capacity in Results Based Programming including Financing and reporting;
• A clear Understanding of current Government Financial Systems and procedures;
• Excellent working knowledge of Kiswahili and English languages; and
• A minimum of 3 years of working experience as Financial Specialist is required.

Terms of Employment:

Description
Futures Group is seeking a Results-based Financing Officer (RBFO) for an anticipated USAID-funded health system strengthening project in Tanzania. The project is expected to focus on providing technical assistance to notional level ministries and other stakeholders in order to strengthen the health care system, focusing on the public sector, at the national and local government authority (LGA) level. Specifically, efforts will focus on improving governance, finance, human resources for health, and information components of the health system. The RBFO will be based in Dar es Salaam and will report to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP).
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MoHSW) counterparts in planning the scale-up of and operationalizing the national results-based financing (RBF) strategy that aims to improve health systems performance.
  • Conduct desk-based analyses on RBF, including operations research to improve the functioning of current and planned pilots and scale-up initiatives of the program, resource needs analyses, and operational planning considerations.
  • Provide support on evaluation and tracking of RBF initiatives, working in close support to MoHSW and partner staff. Participate in MoHSW-led technical working groups and other forums on the subject of RBF.
  • Any additional duties in the area of health financing and resource tracking as directed by the Health Financing Advisor.
  • Contribute to development of work plans, budgets, reports, presentations, and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • At least 4 years' experience in health financing
  • Experience in providing technical advisory support to Tanzania government agencies and/or LGAs in areas of health financing and/or health system strengthening

Finance Manager

The incumbent will be a part of Finance Team and will be responsible for managing financial functions. These include

Conducting financial analysis and preparing financial reports
Developing and implementing an effective system of accounting
Playing a key role in the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
Completion /filing of statutory reports
Ensuring adherence with company policies and procedures Risk analysis.

Qualification
Professional Qualification - CPA, ACCA
Master's Degree in Finance, Accountancy or MBA

Tanzania since 1991, supporting children and communities to gain better access to health, education, water, sanitation and hygiene, livelihoods and protection through five Country Programs. Plan works with children, their families and communities to implement programmes at grassroots level.
Plan International is seeking to recruit qualified applicants for the anticipated five-year $65 million USAID funded Caring for Children and Empowering Young People (C2EYP) project in Tanzania. This project will enable more Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) to access services for improving health, nutrition, education, protection, livelihoods and psychosocial wellbeing. The project will build the capacity of caregivers to provide care and access to services for their children and young people. These positions are ,contingent upon award and approval of USAID.

Finance & Operations Director

Job responsibilities:
The Finance and Operations Director will be, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial and operational management, including financial systems implementation, budgeting, expenditure tracking, administering sub-awards and financial reporting and accounting for both the prime partner and any sub-awards.

Qualifications & Experience
A Master's degree or higher in financial management, accounting, financial analysis, development finance, budgeting, macroeconomics, and/or applied economics, or a closely related field is required;
At least eight years of experience in financial management for large complex projects, of which at least five years were working in the field of international development.
Knowledge of applicable USAID/USG rules and regulations.
Professional level of oral and written fluency in English language.
Work experience in Tanzania highly preferred.
