Job purpose and key deliverables
Requirement Overview
Planning, developing and controlling all aspects associated with the completion of local statutorreporting and tax issues, preparation of monthly, quarterly
and annual Financial Statements in compliance with local and International Financial Reporting Standards and maintenance a strong internalcontrol environment.

KeResponsibilities

General Ledger Maintenance and Reporting
  • Ensure data is captured in the appropriatsystem as required within the set deadlines.
  • Control and review of the general ledger and co-ordination of the general ledger Month end closures
  • Reconciliations of critical Balance sheets accounts (accounts receivable, accounts payables, bank balances and fixed assets) on a monthly basis within the set timelines
  • Managing the companys debat inter-company and third party level as well as supplier payments to ensureective management of workingcapital.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Accounts, in compliance with local, UK GAAP (United Kingdom General Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting standards).

Tax Management
  • Preparations and calculations of tax provisions for monthly Financial accounts
  • Assist in the preparations of local tareturns, and complete UK tax schedules.
  • Ensure that payment of taxes is done on time in full.

Management & Relationship
  • Implemencontrol procedures and recommendations from audits on time in full to ensure a robust internal control environment
  • Ensure thatax and treasury risks are addressed to ensure minimal risk to the company
  • Liaise and maintain favourable working relations with the Company bankers, external auditors, Taconsultants and the Tanzania Revenue Authority as well as the BAT Above Marketeam
Essential requirements
  • University Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
     
  • Professional accounting qualification e.g. CPAACCA.
     
  • At least 3 years of finance experience in a multinational company.
     
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of financial management and systems.
     
  • Ability twork with minimum supervision
     
  • Good communication and influencing skills
     
  • Ability twork and relate with internal customers and external business partners
     
  • Result oriented, self-driven, innovative and excellent planning ability
