Context/Scope:The person will be responsible for serving the engineering and utilities section at the Moshi plant catering for all engineering spares and fuel needs. 

Purpose of Role:The role is meant to cater for all needs of the utilities/engineering services at the Moshi plant. The person is expected to work hand in hand with the engineers and technicians on site to ensure all their fuel and tools needs are fulfilled and report the same to the Stores Supervisor on site. 

KeyAccountabilities
  • To receive and issue engineering spares, equipments received at the plant
  • To check materials being received against documentation to ensure items and report any variances
  • To ensure proper materials storage and handling
  • To receive and issue furnance oil and diesel to the Engineering Department at the plant as requested.
  • To ensure stock levels for the fuels (HFO and diesel as well as lubricants) is well maintained at the plant
  • To conduct periodic stock takes as required for all the engineering spares and fuels at the plant.
Qualifications and Experience Required:Must be a holder of a FTC (Full Technician Certificate) Certificate from a recognised technical college with sound experience of at least one year. Graduate from near by Moshi VETA College would be mostly preferred

Duties and Accountabilities:

• Assuming primary lawyer responsibility for new and portfolio projects, with an emphasis in investments that are in jeopardy;

Desired Skills and Experience

• Qualified to practice law in one or more jurisdictions;

• At least 5 years (8-10 years or more preferred) practicing law in debt restructurings, workouts, bankruptcy and insolvency, preferably in developing countries and/or cross border transactions with a well-recognized law firm and/or an international financial institution or bilateral development institution, with demonstrated work experience in Latin America and the Caribbean;

• Ability to handle independently complex corporate and commercial transactions (including in particular secured lending, corporate and project finance, debt restructurings, and equity investments/divestments);

• Willingness to assume multiple roles and tasks to meet changing business needs with an ability to foresee, troubleshoot and effectively resolve conflicting issues and challenges;

• Ability to assess risk in a practical and responsible manner and make fair, well-reasoned, independent and transparent decisions;

• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to deal with sensitivity in a multicultural environment and to build effective working relations with clients and colleagues across the Corporation;

• Excellent communication skills in English; native Spanish speakers preferred;

  • Administering Staff meetings, taking minutes of the proceedings and ensuring follow-up on agreed actions;

Selection Criteria

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree or its university equivalent in Business Administration or other related field; or Matric Certificate or Advanced Level Certificate plus four (4) years of further study in professional secretarial and/or office management qualifications.
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ relevant experience in secretarial/office administrative work.
  • A good track record in secretarial and office management.
  • Ability to organize data and information retrieval systems.
  • Good filling and organizational skills, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate and write effectively in English and Portuguese, with a good knowledge of French.
  • Competence in the use of Bank standard software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP is desirable.

Duties and responsibilities

Under the overall administrative authority of the Resident Representative, MZFO and the day to day direct supervision of the Finance and Administration Officer, the main responsibilities of the Secretary/Receptionist will be the following:
  • Providing general secretarial assistance to the Office, Field Staff and visiting Missions as well as providing back up to Secretary to the Resident Representative.

  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience and holding a similar position in an international Organisation.
  • Thorough knowledge and use of all relevant computer software and the ability to help organize data and information retrieval systems; Knowledge of SAP is desirable.

  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills;

Job Summary
The Tours & Visits Specialist creates a rich visit experience in the country for key ministry partners (donors, speakers, artists, advocates, sponsors, etc.) with the goal of building sponsor/donor understanding and commitment to Compassion's work. Responsible for coordination with Partner Countries (PACo) trip leader and Program teams to ensure each trip meets intended goal(s).

Reporting Relationships

Core Duties and Responsibilities
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains {courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer.
Working within one's influence, serves as an advocate for children around the world who live in poverty and are not able to speak up for themselves. This includes being informed about the issues of children and influencing others to care about children in need. .

Coordinates visits and group trip processes and ensures a tailored experience for PaCo visitors. Implements logistics and trip planning and ensures overall alignment between cost and budget. Troubleshoots vendor/supplier relationships as needed.
Delivers a rich Compassion experience by understanding the target audience and their needs. Serves as key liaison with PaCo trip representative. Communicates with excellence about Compassion's program and about important cultural and country-specific information. Ensures experiential learning for visitors.
Responds, and trains outside consultants as needed to respond, appropriately to different types of audiences and group types (major donor, artist/speaker, etc.); trip types (sponsor tour, STMT, etc.) and different cultures.
Oversees development of visitor-oriented content through strong understandinq of Compassion global corporate knowledge. Effectively communicates about poverty, Compassion's ministry model, ministry, partnerships, funding opportunities and cultural nuances.
Monitors and responds to security alerts that affect incoming visits.
Collaborates with office staff on finance, program and communications related activities.
Maintains knowledge of government policies regarding entry and visas of foreigners.
Cross-trains each Program Communications team member and/or contractors as a generalist who can respond to many types of audiences, groups and visit types.
Shares Program Communications team responsibilities as needed to balance coverage during peak-demand intervals

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Excellent organizational and. project management skills, with ability to be flexible and respond to changing variables (weather, road conditions, visitor illness, etc), including high-stress situations.
Ability to make sound judgment with little supervision. Proven skills in negotiation.
Ability to travel on a regular basis (40-50%).
