Advans Bank Tanzania seeks to recruit its Head of Internal audit department (reference IA/OCT15)
Key responsibilities
Through risk assessment and constructive recommendations, the Head of Internal audit department
contributes to the permanent improvement of the internal control system and the global performance of Advans Bank Tanzania.
On the course of his/her mission, the Head of Internal audit department will be responsible for:
The management of the Internal audit department resources and activities and the supervision of
the Internal audit team
The building and execution of the annual audit plan and the implementation and proper execution
of audit procedures by the Internal audit team
The issuance of relevant audit recommendations and the follow up of recommendations issued by
the Internal audit department, external auditors and the legal authorities
Reporting to Board Audit Committee functionally and to Chief Executive Officer administratively
and provide to the bank independent and objective assurance on the:
Efficiency, cost-effectiveness and consistency of the internal control system of the bank
Actual implementation and proper enforcement of the processes, procedures,
recommendations and compliance rules
The management of fraud issues and the conduct of special investigations
Profile
At least 5 years of audit working experience preferably in a financial institution or Audit firm at a
senior level
University degree required preferably in the areas of interest: Management / Accounting / Finance
/ Banking / Economics
Relevant professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIA…
Good relationship and communication skills, strong team spirit, leadership and organizational skills
demonstrated through experience
The position requires perfect command of English and Kiswahili, good computer skills and a real
motivation to work and grow in a challenging context.
