The Finance Director has the following main deliverables:
- Uses Financial insight to challenge and shape executive thinking around the risks or benefits of strategic decisions and acts as provocateur challenging senior leaders in order to maximise shareholder value
- Uses a deep understanding of how the organisation works, makes money and its' market context to form a strong point of view on strategic decisions
- Leads design and implementation of medium-long term financial solutions
- Collaborates with organisational leaders to determine TBL’s resourcing and financial requirements & leads implementation of finance strategies.
- Leads the development of high performing individuals and teams in order to manage change and build operational capabilities.
- Proposes operating models that build business agility
- Oversees service provision, ensure tracking of quality and timeliness of financial service delivery and where necessary act as the highest point of escalation for issues
- Develops and manages company budget in line with business expectations, allocating funds for high-priority, high-impact activity.
- Overall and direct management of the TBL Group Finance Department
Desired Skills and Experience
- CA (SA), CPA(Tanzania), ACCA(Global) , MBA as an added advantage
- 10-15 Years FMCG experience preferably gained in a listed company
- 3-5 Years experience in interacting with senior management and shareholders as Finance Director
- Experience in financial, cost and management accounting, taxation, treasury, and corporate finance
- Exposure to audit and information technology and credit management
